The Hotel Anfiteatro Flavio is located in the heart of the city, within easy walking distance of some of the most famous attractions within the city, including the Colosseum (known as the Flavian Amphitheatre in antiquity) - one of the most awe-inspiring monuments of the ancient world, which is in surprisingly good repair.

Among other attractions that are only minutes away is the Pantheon on Via del Seminario, built by the architect Emperor Hadrian 2000 years ago, a huge, domed roof housing the tomb of Raphael, and the Santa Maria Sopra Minerva, a Gothic, 13th-century church in the centre of town that houses the tombs of wealthy Romans and priceless frescoes.

The Capitol is the city hall, located on the Capitoline Hill. One of Rome's most elegant squares, it was designed by Michelangelo and features some of the city's primary classical sculptures and museums.

The location was great. we were greeted warmly and the desk staff was particularly supportive and helpful
The computer capabilities are terrible. easytobook claimed that this place had wifi throughout the hotel. it did not, and there was only the hotel's one computer that anyone could use. no printer.

Having the colosseum at the end of our street was awesome - i felt like i could almost reach out and touch it. what a treat each morning when we walked out the door of the hotel.
Room was very small. noisy equipment ran constantly in the background.

Excellent staff. the girl who was at the desk when we arrived was so helpful and kind. the rest of the staff were good too.
The room we stayed in was not a room in the hotel, but one across the street in an apartment the hotel had turned into three rooms. it did not look like the ones advertised. the room was sad and depressing, but the bathroom was large and clean.

Hotel anfiteatro flavio is in an excellent location! the rooms are small, but that's pretty much how it goes everywhere. they're clean and comfortable and affordable, and that's a pretty good (and rare) combination. the breakfast was small but tasty and kept us going till the early afternoon. the staff is friendly and helpful. it is close to a metro stop, mid-low range restaurants, and lots of sites.
It's small, but that's about it.

We booked a double room but got the cesare apartment all for us two which was much more that we asked for. the staff was very friendly. the breakfast was quite good. the location is excellent - you go out on the street and see the colosseum at one end. awesome!
No internet in the hotel rooms. there are two computers in the common areas but you only get to use them for 15 minutes. you have to pay for longer access. the water in the bathroom didn't drain very fast but that's a minor issue.

Lift if required, even if slightly small. friendly reception staff who spoke good english. very good location for tourists. good air conditioning fan in our room, but gadgets in rooms lack instructions how to work properly and had to work things out for ourselves, suppose we could have asked though.
Dining staff unfriendly and quite ignorant and dirty plates. food selection poor for english tourists (don't know if this is standard though). room and bathroom quite small, couldn't open windows on balcony because bed was in the way. sewerage smell at certain times of day in bathroom, but this was out on streets as well.

The breakfast was really good. the room was very clean but a little cramped. not much room to do anything but sleep. the neighborhood was nice and quiet but there wasn't much to do later in the evening. overall it was a good experience. not far from the train station but hard to find.
They were supposed to be at the desk all night so we could leave our room key with them and just buzz when we came back. i did this the first night i was there and the desk clerk turned off the lights and fell asleep so i couldn't get in to get my key. and they wouldn't answer the phone either.had to stay outside for about 30 minutes and wait for them to open the door. and since the room i stayed in was new there was no phone.

The hotels location is perfect. just a few minutes walk to almost evereything and the neighborhood - monti, is the best! great little shops, winebars and restaurants. just perfect.
Some of the staff was a little rude - but others were great. the breakfast was a little poor but there are so many great places to have breakfast around the hotel that it didn't really matter.
