What you can expect in the surroundings of Hotel Colosseum Rome
Hotel Colosseum is nearby many attractions the city of Rome has to offer. There are religious sights such as the basilicas of St. Mary or the Basilica di San Pietro near Sant’Angelo castle. The shopping area Spanish Steps between Piazza di Spagna and the Trinita dei Monti is great for lovers of designer wear and other fashion addicts.
The area is also rich in monuments. You cannot leave Rome without having paid a visit to the Trevi fountain, the largest fountain in Rome. The original temple housing in the Pantheon functioned as a church from the 17th century on, and is now one of the most important historical buildings.
How you can get to Hotel Colosseum
By public transport from the airport: You can take the train that leaves every half an hour (7.37-8.07-8.37) in 30 minutes this will bring you to the train station Termini. The price of the ticket is approx. Euro 11.00. From there we suggest you take a taxi and walk 5 minutes to the hotel.
Alternatively take a taxi direct to the hotel (40 minutes to 1 hour). Price approx. Euro 50. Take only the official yellow or white taxis with a meter, others tend to be unlicensed and may cost double. Have a nice trip.
By car: A1 Milan-Rome you have to exit at Roma Nord. After the tollhouse go on for 20 km and exit at Settebagni. From there, take a street called Via Salaria that will bring you to the centre of Rome. On that point search for Basilica of S. Maria Maggiore or Termini railway station. From the square of the Church begins a street called Via Paolina, take that street and after 50 metres you'll find the hotel. A2 Naples-Rome, exit at Roma Sud and take Via Tuscolana Centre to the Basilica of S. Giovanni. From there you have to take Via Merulana that connects S. Giovanni with the Basilica of S. Maria Maggiore.

Cons: Breakfast could have been better
Cons: The office organisation is poor. we were told twice (once before we had arrived and once when we were checking out) that we still owed for the 3 rooms we had paid for months before. overpriced.
Cons: A bar area would be an excellent addition to mingle with other visitors to the hotel, although when returning to the hotel after a night out the receptionist was more than helpful in supplying us with a 'nightcap'.
Cons: No
Cons: No negatives.
if the weather is nice in rome, it's very nice to spend an hour on the upper terrace, which gives you an awesome view over the city. there are also a few romantic chairs and tables so you can drink your cup of coffee there. worth going up the 8th level!!!
you can use the internet downstairs in the lobby for 3€/h, however i used it for more than 1.5h and didn't have to pay more.
Cons: The walls are quite thin. our last night we could hear the tv playing from the room next to us. we knocked on the wall so our neighbour could turn down the volume.
the rooms are also quite dark but that didn't matter much cause when you are on a city trip, you are supposed to go outside as much as possible.
Cons: At first we thought the hotel manager was a little abrupt but got use to him and he was quite helpful.
Cons: Brakefirst below standard.
Cons: It was a little hard to get to and the staff was not totally helpful
Cons: Breakfasts were not very good
Cons: Just a little confusion over wi-fi. i thought i was signing up for time on the wi-fi system so that i could use my own laptop, but instead what i bought was a time card on the computer in the lobby. no real problem, just a misunderstanding.
