Hotel Colosseum Rome LocationHotel Colosseum Rome Location (Map)
Hotel Colosseum is nearby many attractions the city of Rome has to offer. There are religious sights such as the basilicas of St. Mary or the Basilica di San Pietro near Sant’Angelo castle. The shopping area Spanish Steps between Piazza di Spagna and the Trinita dei Monti is great for lovers of designer wear and other fashion addicts.

The area is also rich in monuments. You cannot leave Rome without having paid a visit to the Trevi fountain, the largest fountain in Rome.
The original temple housing in the Pantheon functioned as a church from the 17th century on, and is now one of the most important historical buildings.
How to reach the Hotel Colosseum? How to reach the Hotel Colosseum?
By public transport from the airport:
You can take the train that leaves every half an hour (7.37-8.07-8.37) in 30 minutes this will bring you to the train station Termini. The price of the ticket is approx. Euro 11.00. From there we suggest you take a taxi and walk 5 minutes to the hotel.

Alternatively take a taxi direct to the hotel (40 minutes to 1 hour). Price approx. Euro 50. Take only the official yellow or white taxis with a meter, others tend to be unlicensed and may cost double. Have a nice trip!

By car:
A1 Milan-Rome you have to exit at Roma Nord. After the tollhouse go on for 20 km and exit at Settebagni. From there, take a street called Via Salaria that will bring you to the centre of Rome. On that point search for Basilica of S. Maria Maggiore or Termini railway station. From the square of the Church begins a street called Via Paolina, take that street and after 50 metres you'll find the hotel.
A2 Naples-Rome, exit at Roma Sud and take Via Tuscolana Centre to the Basilica of S. Giovanni. From there you have to take Via Merulana that connects S. Giovanni with the Basilica of S. Maria Maggiore.

We were surprised to find that our triple room actually had two "bedrooms" so my daughter could have her privacy. the private patio was wonderful!! very nicely remodeled and clean. great location, just a little hard to find at first.
Just a little confusion over wi-fi. i thought i was signing up for time on the wi-fi system so that i could use my own laptop, but instead what i bought was a time card on the computer in the lobby. no real problem, just a misunderstanding.

Very friendly staff who called us by name when they spoke to us even though we were only staying a couple of nights. good breakfast. they also held on to an item of "lost luggage" until we were able to return for it. we would stay there again, it having been recommended to us by relatives who had also stayed there more than once before.
The door handle to the en suite fell off...repeatedly. :-)

Excellent staff and room was impressive with a great view.
The hotel is a little hard to find if you are travelling by bus or the metro. it is up a hill and is difficult to get to other locations if you are walking and have any difficulty with stairs and hills.

Location is good.
No teas / coffee arrangment provided in the room which now a days standard practice with most of the hotels. the should also provide atleast 1 power socket with adopter for using certain electrical appliances such as laptops, mobile and camera battery charging which are very vital for a tourist/ bussiness etc. non availability of power socket and adopter creats lot of hard ship and avoidable expenditure.

One thing that some hotels should be more 'compliance' is internet access. from my perspective, this is an easy to provide service and it should cheaper. i've been in some hotels that provide it for free, and they will always be at my preference. tks, heitor,
