 "OK hotel, in nice location"
The location is great. Sant Anselmo hill is a central but quiet place to stay in Rome, with excellent public transport connection.I booked a special deal for a very low price, so I guess that is why they gave a not so nice room in the basement. I believe there are better rooms available.The bathroom was moldy and there was a "basement" smell in the room. On the up-side: AC, a very large room (for a single), very friendly staff, excellent location, quiet.

Stay at the 3-star Hotel Domus Aventina for the best Rome experience. If you want to visit Aventino, this hotel is a good option. Circus Maximus and Pyramid of Cestius are also worth a visit. Nearby Santa Maria in Cosmedin will leave a good memory of your stay in Rome. A museum visit is always interesting; try the nearby The Palatine Museum or Museum Capitolini. Constantin Arch is an important asset of the surrounding area.
