"Average"

This hotel is ideal for exploring the city but unfortunately I found the breakfast sadly laking with a very poor choice and quality was not good. Rooms are basic but clean , howeveer walls are very thin and we were kept awake by noisy guests in other rooms. The fire alarm went off on the first night and no electricity , no communciation .wouldn't stay there again.

Pros: Nice and clean hotel, good location.
Cons: When we came into the hotel they told us that there is no free room for us (of course, we had reservation). they gave us a room in different hotel for 1 night and another day we had to move into that hotel again. however another hotel was nicer (3 stars).

"Location is ideal and close to everything"

Pros: Location is ideal and close to everything. staff were helpful. it's ideal if you're going for a sightseeing holiday. even in a room next to the main road there is minimal noise.
Cons: Our initial room was dark, dirty and generally unpleasant. after having an argument with the owner about it being completely different to the pictures on the internet we were moved to another room of our choice which was much nicer. don't stay in room 500. also there isn't a lift, the fifth floor is a serious trek in that heat!

Cons: There was scaffolding up outside the front of the hotel so the windows of rooms on that side had the shutters and windows permanently closed - very claustraphobic. also had concerns about fire-safety as there seemed to be only the main entrance and no other fire exits. a couple of times over the 2 night break there was nobody at the front desk, and the front door was locked so we had to wait for someone to let us in - this was inconvenient, but would have been fatal if there had been a fire in the hotel

"The hotel is in a good location which is only 10 mins walk to the coloseum"

Pros: The hotel is in a good location which is only 10 mins walk to the coloseum. we went as 2 couples. my friends' room was nice and clean. we got our rooms on the first floor as requested.
Cons: My hotel room was covered in cigarette smoke which i initialy thought was came from outside since the window was opened when we first got there. however after the first night, we realised that the smoke was in the furniture and bedding. when asked the hotel for another room, they automaticaly told us that there was no room available but the one on the 5th floor (yes, it has to be the top floor of a hotel that has no lift). so we stayed another night in a smelly room 'cause we didnot want to spoit our holiday by arguing with them. not very good customer service.

Cons: Limited facilities including some bits not working in the room, no tea/coffee etc. breakfast was very basic. our room was 5 floors up and no lift so would be big problem if we had mobility problems

Good location, good price,clean rooms, helpful staff

Situated in the popular Monti district in the old city centre, Hotel Giubileo Rome is perfect for tourists and business travellers. Housed in a 600 years old ancient monastery, it is found amidst numerous restaurants and wine bars and faces the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore. The completely renovated hotel is a stone's throw from Termini Railway Station and within walking distance of the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Domus Aurea and Rome's Opera House.

Room service is available on request and Hotel Giubileo Rome also offers a shuttle service to the airport and reservation service for excursions and sightseeing tours.

The Giubileo Hotel offers 29 comfortable hotel rooms. All rooms are air-conditioned and have a private bathroom.
