the best thing about this place is it's location. it is also clean(they change the sheets everyday)and reasonable. the service is good.
I do not know why it is called a hotel because it operates like a bed and breakfast. the tv sucks (poor reception and no english channel, not one, nada.

The owners are delightful and could not have been more helpful. the rooms are clean and comfortable. the location was ideal, between two tube stations and accessible by various buses. even though it was the beginning of the italian holidays, there were still a good choice of reasonably priced restaurants in the area for evening meals. we particularly liked being able to walk to some of the main sites, while still being slightly out of the busy city centre. i would heartily recommend the hotel.

The family that runs the lussemburgo is wonderful. they don't speak a word of english, but it was still easy to figure things out. we loved our stay here ... but don't stay here if you want fancy accommodations. it's a great room in a great location in a great city!

Owner was very very nice and accomodating
The hotel is miles away from the major sites in rome - we went out for the day and didn't come back until late evening to aviod the trip. the room was very small and the bathroom was very basic. it wasn't even that cheap to justify the location/state of the rooms.

Lucia and carlo are your new italian parents when you stay at this hotel - they take good care of you :-)
The neighbourhood is kind of "china town", but it is safe enough to walk around alone in the evening.

I had the best time in rome and the couple running the hotel were absolutely lovely.it was like living at home with your parents,so much in the sense of 'what time do you call this' but more the fact that they really made sure that you were looked after.my first hand experience of this was when one morning i left the hotel very early to go to the beach and i didn't have time for breakfast but the lady of the mannor packed me a small goody back with fruit a drink and crossiant...so so sweet.although it's only 2 star is gives u a much better service and it's in easy reach of everything especially termini train station.
My only negative commment which really isn't a problem,is that the door to the main building is opened by the couple who seem to take turns manding the door,so if you want to go out and stroll in at 4 am,just buzz and wake up the owners( they don't mind ,but you do feel guilty)
