Room at hotel morgana very comfortable. very clean and easy to find from termini. breakfast very good.
Arrived 11.30p.m. after a flight from venice then train journey from airport. hotel easy to find but very disappointed on arrival to find there was not a room for my son and myself and we had to take a 10 minute taxi ride to the hotel panama (sister hotel). hotel p o.k. but not what we booked. a taxi was laid on for us the next day and room at hotel morgana was very good but it was an unexpected and not pleasant start to our stay in rome.

We asked for a room overlooking the courtyard as we wanted somewhere quiet. the room (number 302) was very small, even poky,in need of refurbishing, with an intrusively loud background noise from the air conditioning which finallly stopped at about 11.30 each night. the breakfast room was not big enough and on the sunday morning of our stay people were waiting up to 30 minutes for a table for breakfast.

The guidance information to find the hotel was accurate. in an effort to smooth things over, the manager sent champagne to our room which was appreciated as a gesture of goodwill.
On check in i was expected to sign a blank credit card bill, which i refused on security grounds. at one stage we had no water in our room due someone dismantling the tap due poor knowledge of its workings, simultaneously all our belongings were locked in our safe as it was u/s and had failed in the locked position.it took a demand to see the manager to obtain suitable rectification of both problems. once prompted the staff were generally helpful.the only lift had failed during our stay so the steps were our only option.

Breakfast was poor for a 4* hotel. the staff were very busy but badly organised and consequently there were queues of people waiting for tables. mini bar fridge was not working and bathroom door difficult to close.

Good first impression with smart marble floors and a nice lounge hotel is easy walking from termini rail station and the bus station making communication around rome and the rest of italy easy, however if you are using the rail system check for strikes, we nearly missed our boat. staff were friendly and did their best.
We were bumped the first night to another hotel, however they made sure that it was a better room and paid for a cab to get us there (so good and bad). on the second night we stayed there we realised that it was more of a uk 2 star hotel than 4 star, the room was very tired with ageing furniture and bathroom suite, the shower ran hot and cold constantly, there are no tea and coffee facilities in the room. definitely not recommended for wheelchair users, the lift is up a short flight of stairs and access is tight into the bedrooms. rooms at the front of the hotel are very noisy even with double glazing. breakfast was ok at best with a nice setting and a good range of cheese, cold meat etc but the quality of cereal and the cooked selection was not good.

The staff was very polite and the quad room was nicely sized-not overly cramped.
Hotel advertises a garage. which is 3 blocks down the road, and is really just a public parking garage.

The location of the hotel was excellent--not even five minutes from the train station.
The room was small, even a bit small by european standards.

Room was clean and quiet
We were placed in an apartment rather than the hotel and not told about this ahead of time. to access the apartment you had to go back to the desk every time and have someone come and unlock the door. in addition they forgot to show us how to get out which could have been a life-threatening event if there had been a fire. i would definitely not stay in this hotel again.

The location of this hotel is good as it's close to the termini (main train/subway station). our room was clean, however very very small. the breakfast was very good (meats, cheeses, scrambled eggs, bacon, patries, cereal) and we were thrilled to have it be a part of our "room price" as food is not cheap in rome. personally i wouldn't consider this a 4star hotel, but a 3 star property. overall, a good experience.

Hotel morgana is excellently situated, literally a two minute walk from the termini where airport transfers are dropped off/picked up. it also provides a lovely breakfast which caters for all diets and requirements.
When myself and my girlfriend arrived about 11pm, after a long day of traveling, we were informed that the hotel had double booked us and couldn't accomodate us for the first nights stay and sent us at their sister hotel a 15 minute taxi ride away which cost 20 euros. the second hotel was in no way up to the standard of the first and although we moved back to hotel morgana the next morning it put a major dampener onto what was meant to be a romantic surprise for my girlfriend. the fact i had emailed three or four times in the run up to our arrival date angered me even more as in no way shape or form did the hotel inform me of this double booking so i could either arrange alternative accomodation or at least prepare myself for having to be sent to another hotel. very poor customer service in this instance hotel morgana.
