Hotel Rome Love

Hi to all,I booked the Portafortuna B&B, but when we got there they said an error occured and they would like to offer us a "better" accomodation in the Rome Love B&B (I guess in property of the same chinese family) for the same price. So we went on to stay in the Rome Love B&B for 4 nights.Location:The B&B is situated quite central at Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II: to get to the Colosseum it is a walk of 15 minutes, you get to the white Mausoleum of Vittorio Emanuele in 20 minutes of walk from the B&B. So the location is situated very well, although you are in the chinese hood (distnace to the train station Roma Termini is less than 10 minutes of walk). The B&B:The room was okay, not more, not less. The only window of the room did not close properly, so it was quite noisy in the morning. The bed was okay, the bathroom too.The breakfast:This was a negative surprise: there is no room for the breakfast, instead you get two tickets for a little snack bar with just two tables in it down the street. So we went there, had no place to sit, and in return of the tickets each of us got :1 coffe, 1 brioche, 1 little yoghurt, 1 little juice. If you want more, you have to pay. So, this is a very poor breakfast for the price you pay the B&B! Service: Was okay, all workers are chinese and speak a bit of english. Since you don't get a key for the main entrance, you always have to ring the bell in order to get it. It happened a couple of times that you have to ring three or four times before the door opens.

We wanted a inexpensive night stopover near the Rome Termini train station as we were moving on to Venice. So the location was fine - not so bad for other of the tourist attractions if you don't mind being in the middle of Chinatown - didn't feel at all Italian. We were glad it was only one night as the airconditioning in the room did not work well.

We were moved to this hotel from Hotel Portafortuna .The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the room quiet and spotless, location great ( much better than Hotel Portafortuna.) The breakfast at a nearby bar was perfect to start the day's sightseeing. We would stay at Hotel Rome Love again.

the reception gave the tax again...we paid taxd 2 times.first time when we booked the hotel and second one paid at the hotel.

Pros: The staff are very easy to talk too and happy to assist where possible..my holiday started with a few problems and ming was so lovely and concerned for me..she was very welcoming and helped me feel comfortable immediately on arrival..my room was extremely clean and the bed was fantastic. location perfect especailly for first timers to rome.
Cons: Breakfast would have been great,or at least tea making facilites in your room, however the set up of the hotel just did not allow for this service, so nothing against the hotel itself, just something to consider when booking accomodation. transfers to or from the airport or connecting train stations is always a good service however was not included, which was a little dissapointing. it was available on request but very costly.

Pros: Easy access to touristic sites and metro, good bedrooms
Cons: Not so easy to find, we crossed 2 times in front of it, without noticing the sign of the hotel.

Pros: We found it a pleasant hotel freindly and walking distance to all attractions and close to termi train station i would recomend this hotel for short breaks around rome
Cons: No coffie or kettle in room coundnt get wifi in bedroom breakfast was continental but had to go to nearest snack bar not in hotel

Pros: Everything was very new and high standard. hotel was well equipped with free safe, hairdryer, flat screen tv, air condition etc. staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Our fridge didn’t work unfortunately.
i wouldn’t recommend the hotel for obese people, because the rooms and bathrooms are quite tiny. neighborhood consists mainly of asians. some homeless people on the streets make it look like a bit dodgy, but not really dangerous.

Pros: The staff were wonderful and so helpful. they were also friendly and had a good sense of humour. the location was great as far as near the colosseum and we could walk easily in 10 minutes. the actual area is slightly dodgy not a posh area but not the worst area either. the rooms were nicely decorated, new looking and very clean!
Cons: The only thing that i would say was negative was the thin walls as i could hear people snoring and talking loudly in their rooms at times.

Pros: Positively surprised by the standard. the room was very clean and nice.
Cons: The bathroom smelled horrible. the breakfast was not very good and not even remotely worth the €6.

Pros: The hotel staffs are great and are all very friendly. rooms are very new and nicely furnished. it's v near the metro.
Cons: The hotel lobby is located on the 2nd floor of a very old building. it's very difficult to find this place!! the lift is old and small. there is no wifi in my room even thou they tried to rectify it.

Pros: The rooms are well sized,fitted with all neccessary amenites,everything is brand new and the interior decoration is excellent.its worth the stay

Pros: The staff were nice and helpful and the place was very clean
Cons: The amount the website quoted 165.60 was not what we paid when we showed up, the owners charged us 182.00 so the prices do not match which really annoyed us and the owners would ntt budge. there is a major issue with this as it is false advertising and due to this i would not advise using the website or the hotel.
