Many other interesting areas of the city centre are reachable by metro line A and the closest metro stop is 'Repubblica'.
How you can get to Hotel Texas
By car: From any point of the 'Grande Raccordo Anulare', reachable via all highways, follow the indications to 'Roma centro'.
From Termini Station: The hotel is 1 km from the Termini railway station. Exit Termini Station through the central hall, to 'Piazza Cinquecento'. Once you are there walk across 'Piazza Cinquecento' and take 'Viale Luigi Einaudi', until you get to 'Piazza Della Republica'. When you reach 'Piazza della Republica', cross the square and on your left you will find a street called 'Via Nazionale'. Enter the street and walk straight for 2 blocks, where you will find 'Via Firenze', the street where the hotel is located (Via Firenze N° 47). Turn right in 'Via Firenze' and halfway you will see the hotel.
From Fiumincino Airport: The hotel offers a 24-hour pick-up service to/from Leonardo Da Vinci International Airport, more commonly known as 'Fiumincino'. Send the hotel the name of your airline company and your flight number, along with the arrival time and the hotel will arrange your transport at a cost of EUR 45.00.
If you prefer public transport, you can take the Leonardo Express train (about EUR 9.50 per person), which will take you to the Termini Train Station. Once at Termini station follow the directions above.
From Ciampino Airport: From Ciampino Airport, which is Rome's second airport and where many european flights arrive, you can use the hotel's pick-up service (see information above), or take the bus to 'Anagnina'. From 'Anagnina' you will have to switch to metro line A in the direction of 'Battistini'. Get off at 'Piazza della Repubblica' and follow the directions above.

Cons: Almost nobody cudnt speak english. very bead hospitility
Cons: The bathroom was small although very clean.
Cons: The picture of the room on the web was better than the room itself, and it seems to there are 2 hallways, one with nicer rooms than the other. we changed to a better room but had to pay 10 euro more, which was rather a lot for a room with a shared bathroom.
Cons: Perhaps a little more for breakfast would have been nice. fresh bread rather than crackers.

Cons: We ordered a room with bathroom (paid extra money), and got a bathroom- but not toilet. we had to use a shared toilet.

Cons: On the day we were leaving we asked the lady on duty to help us with a couple of issues and she was not helpfull at all. asked to store our bags for a couple of hours and she just said no without trying to help.
Cons: No it was great we stayed nine days, left two days before we'd intended on an impulse to visit capri where we stayed in a four star hotel which was not to our liking!
Cons: Were unable to pay by credit card on check out, reception is saying it is terminal system failure, but they are much more willing to accept cash only i guess.
Cons: Continental breakfest should be better, not only bread and butter.
