What you can expect in the surroundings of Hotel Veneto Rome
Hotel Veneto is located in the elegant neighbourhood of the famous Via Veneto, close to the Spanish Steps, Fontana di Trevi and Galleria Borghese. This Umbertine style palace is in a central and privileged location right in the historic part of Rome. Its location, on one of Rome's seven hills very close to the Villa Borghese park means that it enjoys pure and fresh air, ideal for the warm summer months.
The hotel is close to main bus routes and the metro at Barberini Square (800 meters), leading you quickly to the Colosseum and the Vatican City, and 1.5 km from Termini Station, where even the airport shuttles stops. The Fiumicino Airport is about 30 km from the city centre and is well connected by highway and express train service.
How you can get to Hotel Veneto
By public transport, from Fiumicino-Leonardo da Vinci Airport: Take the Leonardo Express train to Termini Railway Station. From here take the metro line ‘A’ direction ‘Battistini’ station and get off at ‘Barberini’ metro station. The hotel is within minutes walking distance from this station (See below directions).
By public transport, from Ciampino Airport: Take the bus to ‘Anagnina’, and then take metro line ‘A’ to Termini Railway Station. From here take the metro line ‘A’ direction ‘Battistini’ station and get off at ‘Barberini’ metro station. The hotel is within minutes walking distance from this station (See below directions).
By bus, from Termini Railway Station: Here you can take bus No. 910. Get off on the 4th stop, right in front of the hotel.
By train, from Termini Railway Station: From the Roma Termini railway station, around 1,5 km from the hotel, take underground line A towards Battistini and get off at Barberini, from there take Via Veneto, turn right on via Boncompagni and then left at the third crossroad.
On foot, from Barberini square: Follow Via Veneto, at the American Embassy turn to the right on Via Boncompagni, go straight on until you reach the crossing with Via Piemonte (3 blocks). You will immediately see the hotel to your left.
By bus, from Barberini square: You can take bus lines 80, 52, 53, 63 or 630 to the hotel.
By car, from Barberini square: Arriving by car is possible. Nevertheless, because the hotel is situated in the city center occasionally Via Veneto is closed to traffic in which case you will have to avoid the city center and instead arrive from Piazza Fiume on the opposite side. If you are arriving from the north, it is best to take via Salaria which terminates at the start of the city centre. Go directly through Piazza Fiume and take the second right, Via Boncompagni, then turn right into via Piemonte.

Reviews on Hotel Veneto Rome
In partnership with
Cons: There were no towel hooks/rings in the bathroom and the small room safe was located on the floor inside the closet.
Cons: Room was in need of some refurbishment
Cons: The hotel bar was expensive.
Cons: The door of the cooridor as you come up has no stopper and you hear it banging all through the early hours of the morning and late at night as people come and go! the elevator is the oldest i have seen in my life! i am not young!! it's an antique! it got stuck once when i was in it, luckily there were some workers outside so they told me to go back up and take the stair down, luckily that trick worked. since then we never used it. but apparently, this was the first time this had happened so maybe just my bad luck! the breakfast too is pretty basic, but that is fine. the views from the breakfast room though are quite amazing! :)
Cons: Impersonal staff, poor and bad quality breakfast, dirty walls, small and poor rooms
Cons: Part of the cost of the hotel was charged onto our credit card which we were not informed about, we were told that the card was only going to be used for confirmation of the booking. i find this not acceptable.
Cons: The booking confirmation stated that city tax was included but it wasn't - not a big problem but think you need to change your confirmation details as it will never be included as it not a hotel charge.
Cons: Directions to hotel not very clear.
Cons: We did not expect to be placed in an area of the hotel which seemed more like an appartment block that was stil under reconstruction, unable to work the jacuzzi bath.
Cons: We were quite taken back at the cost of wireless internet service (20 euro per day).
Cons: None
overall enjoyed my stay in the hotel veneto.
Cons: The room was absolutely tiny. however, the location and the service more than compensates it. remember you don't really want to spend your time in your hotel room in rome. the bed was comfortable.
Cons: Very small room but well appointed
