The Celio district or area of Rome is rich in historical buildings and beautiful landscaped areas, as well as entertainment and fine dining. There are many different churches in the Celio area, including the Basilica di Santo Stefano al Monte Celio and the Santi Giovanni e Paolo al Celio, both which date back to between 400 and 500 A.D. Another landmark church is Santo Stefano Rotondo, the first round church built in Italy.
