"The staff is very friendly"

Marc¿ Aurelio is a comfortable, well equipped hotel set in a tranquil residential area near the Vatican City, conveniently connected with the historic city centre. The hotel is located close to metro station Cornelia, on line A (red line). From Cornelia a fast, regular underground service takes you directly to some of the most famous landmarks in the Eternal City. The Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain and Via Veneto can be reached in literally just a few minutes. Marc¿Aurelio has its own American bar and a fine restaurant that takes pride in the high quality of its service. Parking is available at no additional cost, for private cars as well as buses and shuttles, making the hotel a strategic choice for groups and families. **3EUR City tax per person and night, direct payment at the hotel.

Pros: The staff is super friendly and will help you with everything from what metro/bus to take to scheduling your taxi to the airport. off the beaten path but worth the money.
Cons: Hotel is older and away from the main attractions but if you don't mind a short 10 min walk to the metro, you can get a cheap ride into the city.

Pros: From the beginning we were glad that is close to a metro station and is easy to reach. the hotel staff was great, they helped us every time giving us indications and advices about what to visit and how to get there. next to the hotel is a "gelatteria" were we had the best ice-cream and cookies in rome. rooms are clean, baths are newly renovated, is quiet, there is private parking next to the hotel. for breakfast we had a large variety of food - ham, cheese, yogurts, cereals, croissants, good coffee, etc.
Cons: Because is an older hotel is not a 4 stars but 3. we had the smallest tv that i have ever seen :)) and internet is not free.
