How to reach the Marco Polo Hotel
By Airplane:
- At Leonardo da Vinci/Fiumicino airport take the direct train to termini.
At Termini take the right hand exit, and you are in Via Marsala, cross over via Marsala and walk into via Magenta.
The Hotel is located at the right side of the street, indicated by a green sign.
-If you arrive at Ciampino airport, take the bus to Anagnina, there get on the metro to termini.
-From Termini Station the same directions apply.
Hotel can arrange pick-up from or to the airport at a rate of 50.00 euro up to 4 persons, and 60 euro up to 6 person, luggage & tax included.
By Car:
From The G.R.A. take the exit nr. 14 (A24) direction city centre and drive to the last exit on the “Tangenziale Est” (the last one) following the direction “Stazione Tiburtina”. Getting the first gate and drive along the Tiburtina Road; after the door of the ancient walls turn to the right for “viale Pretoriano” and at the traffic light turn to the left. At the second block turn again to the right for via dei Mille. The first street to the left is via Milazzo, and then turn the first on the right (via magenta) where you will easily see our sign.

When booking hotel online it stated that breakfast was included, however on arrive was advised that breakfast was not included in the price. only stayed for 10 min at this hotel as there was sewerage coming out of the bathtub and still had to pay for the first night.06 Aug 09
Right by the train station which is nice, and the staff is very helpful.For the money and rome, it was a reasonable hotel, but i may pay more next time for a nicer hotel.25 Jul 09

The staff were very helpful and polite and spoke english, however my grown son, who was with me, speaks fairly fluent italian so i believe that helped develop the friendly attitude of the staff. The only negative is the heat in rome in july and the room was minimally air conditioned as is most buildings in rome.13 May 09

Very close to the station, with very good access to romes delights- air-conditioning did not work
- our rooms window was into the central service coutryard and noise from neighbouring restaurant kitchens was a little problem for sleeping childern.03 Sep 08
I thought it was very good and very near to trains and metros. the breakfast was adequate i thought the coffee etc. could have been a lot hotter but i do find in general across central europe its very very hard to get hot beverages. just on first impressions i didn't know what to expect as i have never been in a hotel on the 3rd floor but i have to say we were very happy with the room etc. the staff were very helpful.

-the rooms are clean
-it's a minute to the train station which was important to us-the rooms are small but that's how it is in rome, (unless you pay a lot more) it's ok if you're not going to stay more than a couple of days

Very good location - just 5 mts away from roma termini by walk.Checked and rechecked on the confirmation of my room 72 hrs and 24 hrs prior to departure and yet they gave away my room to another guest and put me up in another hotel above them. breakfast at marco polo is the same everyday so do not expect anything much.16 Jul 08

The hotel was very convenient to the termini from which we were departing on the following day.The general ambiance of the hotel was fine. however, the entrance into it was very off-putting, and gave a very bad first impression. while the location of the hotel was convenient to the termini, the general location was not in a very good area, and we were not very comfortable entering and leaving the hotel.27 May 08
Proximity to train and subway was the key reason for selecting this hotel. staff helpful but overall service a bit makeshift. Web photos and actual rooms are misleading.. web looks better than actual. access elavator not usual. room small. the cardboard door in the breakfast room not a good impression.20 May 08
