Room with fantastic views up and down via del corsa. enjoyed the glass lift on the outside of the building (in the courtyard) up to our room as this gave a great view along the rooftops as we were on the to floor.

Good central location within walking distance to many sites.
Very dark room although nice period decoration. no bath only shower. very unhelpful reception staff. on our last morning we had come back from breakfast and there is an internal door to get to some bedrooms which was shut. we pressed the buzzer for it to be opened and although the receptionist heard it and could even see us she continued chatting on the phone for ten minutes. watch out also if you ask them to book you a taxi to the airport. we did this and they charged 60 euros for their own transport as opposed to the 45 the taxi charged us coming. as pointed out by other reviewers the laptop did not work and the tv had no english channels except cnn. there are no breakfast facilities and we did not see any vending machines.

The hotel is in a great location. right in the think of everything we wanted to see in rome. the décor was great too – classic and authentic looking. the hotel staff was helpful and friendly.
The in-room lap top computer advertised did not work, nor did the mini fridge which was not only broken but dirty as well. the bed was as hard as a rock and the pillows weren’t any better. i also found a bug in the bed on our first night there. our room was extremely small so i wouldn’t recommend staying here if you are over 150 lbs…really.

Room immaculately presented, stylishly furnished.
Staff smoked in corridors so could not exit a non smoking room without walking into a wall of smoke. but this was the only negative experience. hotel also a bit hard to find as poor signage at entrance.

When we walked into the room we were very impressed. there was a four poster bed, a big flat screen tv, a nice bathroom. that woman working in the morning was friendly.
The hotel is hidden within a larger building and is difficult to find. the only reason you would know that the hotel is there is by looking at the door buzzer buttons. there was a lot of traffic and noise outside so it was difficult to fall to sleep, even with all the windows closed. there was a laptop computer inside the room for our use, but the keys were broken off and the operating system would not load. i asked the front desk if they had a computer to use since the one in the room was broken, and i was told i would need to find an internet cafe. in the bathroom, the tub leaked all over. the floor was absolutely soaked, all the way to the door - we had to try and block it with a row of towels! if you can find another hotel - do it!

Excellent location. 5 mins from tervi fountain and 5 mins from spanish steps. had triple room very clean, bathroom spotless. great value for money. reception very helpfull on most occassions depending who was on duty.
Wouldn't say negative would suggest a little kettle in room would have been ideal.

The location was excellent, the hotel was clean and well presented
The room was quite tiny, but sufficed because we were only staying 3 nights. our computer didn't work and there were no english-speaking channels available on the tv.

First room was very small, but moved to a much bigger one. decor and furniture very nice, pleasant environment.
Breakfast is served in the room, no dining area, and small reception area.

One of the receptionists was very pleasant, the air conditioning was great, the location was good and central
The room cleaning was poor, on two days my room was not serviced at all, towels were not often changed, i had to ask two times for more toilet paper in my bathroom, the laptop in my room was infected with spyware and viruses and could not be used to check personal emails, i pointed this out to staff but they were not interested, i had to ask twice for the tv remote to be fixed, and then the television only had programmes/channels in italian - not much use if you only speak english, the receptionist was no help at all when i got ripped off by a taxi driver from the termini, and when i pulled the shower 'alarm' cord (in error, i thought it might turn on a fan) no-one repsponded at all - just as well it wasn't a guest in real peril! i won't be staying at hotel montecitorio again.

The hotel was in a very convenient location and it was always easy to find our way around to the main attractions. the air conditioning was a blessing in such hot temperatures.
Unfortunately the laptop provided in the hotel room was so slow that internet use was impossible throughout our stay. we were also a little disappointed at the lack of any english channels on the tv.

The hotel was well situated and very clean
Yes, we were not informed that we had to order breakfast so the first morning, we had to ask what was available. our room was very small but very clean reception staff were not really helpful although we did have a wonderful time and
