Excellent customer service and phenomenal location. as long as you don't expect the world, this was a great 2-3 night stay for accessing all of rome. we were their with our children (3 & 5 years old) and it worked out great; i recommend the quad, and not the triple for a family with more than 1. if you are flexible and open, you will enjoy this hotel.Non-descript curb appeal made it difficult to initially locate. it was located behind a green set doors, and upstairs of what appears to be a mixed occupancy (apartments and offices), with a very antiquated structure. Family room was very spacious.Hard to find the actual entrance to the inn. the street location etc.. was fine it was the front door we couldn't locate straight away.
water was not very warm when taking a bath.
alot of steps - but it has a small lift.
we were intending to go the vatican and sistine chapel on saturday only to be advised that it was closed by 'roberto' as this was their religous day. we changed our iternary based on this information and visited the vatican on sunday only to find that the sistine chapel was closed. it was open the previous day (the one we were originally going to visit on). so this left me feeling disappointed as seeing the sistine chapel was key to my visit.Anonymous

The location is excellent; bedoom was small but the en suite bathroom was well-equipped, spacious and very clean, and the air conditioning was very efficient. most reception staff were helpful.The description of facilities was misleading - no room service, no tea/coffee making facilities, very little hotel facilities overall. the breakfast was awful and was provided by staff who could not have cared less. there were insufficient places for all guests to have breakfast, and once supplies were exhausted they were not replenished. it was disappointing -i would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The location is good and the room was very clean.I had a problem, the night before our arrival they send me an email saying that they had no room and wanted to send us to another hotel. i managed to phone them and refused to go to the other hotel as it was not so central and the reviews were not good, luckily they then gave us a room.Anonymous

Though not very luxurious, quite authentic and cozy. wonderful staff, very clean rooms. perfect (!!!!) location.A bit difficult to figure out how to enter (press the intercom button....) and to locate the elevator (right off of the first flight of stairs). once you figure it out, you actually start to enjoy it.Anonymous

If you can get past the first impressions of the hotel (the entrance is via a battered old green barn door on a small side street), then you will find a fantastic, friendly, boutique hotel, in an incredible, central location. rooms were clean, bathrooms spotless and well equipped. we'd definitely use this hotel again as a base for a visit to rome.
