How to reach the Park Hotel dei Massimi?By train: From the main railway station Termini, you can either take the Metro Line A (direction 'Battistini') to 'Cipro Musei Vaticani' and then a taxi or you can take a taxi directly from the station - costs will be approximately 20 Euros.
By airplane, from Fiumicino-Leonardo da Vinci International Airport: Take the Leonardo Express train (every 30 minutes) to Termini Railway Station and then follow the directions above.
By airplane, from Ciampino International Airport: Go to Terminal 1 and take the bus to Termini Railway Station. Then follow the directions above.
By car: Driving to the hotel you must first of all take the Via Aurelia exit from the Grand Raccordo Anulare. Proceed down V.B degli Ubaldi and go straight on - this road becomes the Via Cipro. Go straight ahead and you will reach Piazza degli Eroi a huge square. Take the exit Viale delle Medaglie D'oro then turn left after 4 trafficlights for Via Galimberti, then turn right for Via U. De Carolis, it will become Via Balduina. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the shuttle bus into the town was very useful. the breakfast was excellent and they arranged a takeaway breakfast for us as we left so early.We were expecting a balcony as it says every room has one. our balcony was just a wall, be advised the standard ground floor rooms do not have a balcony.IGBINOGHENE

I was welcome very well by staff especially the driver who kindly took our loggage into the hotel.
i love the fact that we were offered a place to leave our loggage after we checked out. i also love the bus shuttle that was quite a help, free service. god bless the hotel for that.I hated the wall paper in the hotel as it was old and full of marks. the towels were too old that you cannot tel if it was washed.
the bedding were old - green sheets and they were not ironed.
i think the hotel management need to change the decoration in the room i stayed.
morover, there was a catering staff who made our stay inconvinienced. he was monitoring what we ate instead of helping to serve us. he kept making comments that the manager will be offended if vistors took any food away even when they could not eat their breakfast.
lastly, the bacon in the breakfast was took dry for one to eat. they need to improve the breakfast.Anonymous

The staff was very friendly and helpfull. the free sutlebus service is good but does not run to often.The walls were dirty, both in the room and in the dining area. the breakfast bread was old and probably bought frosen in a large bag from the supermarket. the location of the hotel is quite remote, it usually took us an hour to get to the hotel from down town, taking the metro and a bus (907) from the metro stationMrs. Lynda Beattie

Although the hotel was a few kilometres out of rome centre we liked this, as having 2 young children, it was quieter at night. the hotel provides a free shuttle service into rome centre and return, which we used twice. the hotel has free parking, which in italy is rare! staff were very helpful and accomodating. the room was clean and well decorated. i think at first we thought the hotel seemed a little on the expensive side but having stayed there for 3 nights, we feel it was a fair reflection on the package included. i would recommend this hotel to families as well as other holiday/business groups.Maybe a little more choice on the menu in the resturant at night. although the food we had was nice.Anonymous

A very nice hotel, very helpful and knowledgeable, multi-lingual staff. free bus down to st. peter's in the morning. great breakfast and evening meals. rooms kept very tidy.If you are unfamiliar with rome, be aware that this hotel is on top of a hill some 2 miles from the vatican, we walked it on the 1st night with cases! you need to check the bus routes (of which there are plenty suitable) which run every 10 minutes to/from the centre.Anonymous

The hotel was very helpful in providing travel information and maps. staff were helpful and courteous. room was pleasant.The hotel was located a little out of the centre of rome which necessitated getting to grips with the public transport system!
