It was quiet. it had a gym complex next door which was useful if, like me, you wanted a daily workout. there was no fuss about anything and it felt extremely safe. the rooftop terrace was fab in the evening. most of the staff were friendly and helpful.
The hotel was just too far out of town - even though there was abus stop opposite the hotel it still took a bus ride and a metro journey to get to the sites of rome - sometimes this could take an hour. the buses and trains were often very crowded indeed - sometimes you simply couldn't get on one - this, of course, is not the hotels fault but the fact that it is so out of town meant that you had to endure long journeys - if you could afford taxis everyday (about 20 euros per journey) then the hotel would be fine.
