Hotel Saturnia Rome is located in the Monti area, on walking distance from basilica Santa Maria Maggiore and Via Nazionale, the main street of Rome. There are plenty of monuments nearby the hotel, like the basilica Vincoli, which houses one of the masterpieces made by Michelangelo, the Mosè.

The Colosseum, originally known as the Flavian Amphitheater, is the most famous Roman amphitheater, and is located in the center of Rome. Able to store up to 50,000 spectators, is the largest and most important Roman amphitheater, and the most important monument of ancient Rome which has come down to us.

Piazza di Spagna with Trinità dei Monti one of the most famous squares of Rome. It owes its name to the palace of Spain, inside the headquarters of the Spanish state.

All of these great attractions can be reached by foot from the Saturnia Hotel.

How you can get to Saturnia Hotel

From Termini Railway Station:
To reach Hotel Saturnia from the main railway station, follow the signs for the "Piazza dei Cinquecento" exit (the main bus depot) and to the left on exiting is a street called Via Cavour. Pros: The staff were helpful.
Cons: The room we were assigned was more like a cave! it was next to the hotel with a door opening onto the street coevred by a security door. there were no windows and the noise level was as if you were on the street! the only way to sleep was to wear earplugs or keep the air conditioner on to drown the sounds coming from the door. there appeared to be no smoke detectors and there was only one way in and out. suffice to say, we did not feel too comfortable. also, you had to queue for breakfast as there was insufficient space for guests in the tiny breakfast room. i know that this was a one star hotel but i imagine a hostel might have been a better deal.

Pros: The daytime staff is fantastic. nighttime staff was a bit ambivient, but did their job well- just that the daytime staff were so positive that it overshadowed the rest of their staff!
Cons: Rooms are fine but not truly top notch. a bit of mold in the shower doors but otherwise ok

Pros: I would recommend the hotel (rooms with separate bathroom and air-con) to anyone going to rome. if you stay in a room with no separate bathroom upstairs, be aware sharing the shower is no good and no air-con means you will have the traffic noise all night and day as you cant close the windows.
Cons: Last day there was no hot water in shower.

Pros: They served good breakfast and the staffs speak good english. staffs are helpful in term of city information. the location of the hotel is excellent - it's only 5 mins walk to main termini station, 20 mins to coloseum and walking distance to major attractions. they are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby the hotel.
Cons: The hotel has no lifts and i requested for a lower floor but instead they placed me at 4th floor which was the highest floor. i have 3 big luggages and they promised to moved it over to my room when they room is ready at 12pm. however, they left it at the lobby from 10am till 8pm after my day tour in town. anyone could has just take it away!
the taxi driver lost her way to the hotel from termini station despite so near.

Pros: Excellently located less than 5 minutes walk from the colosseum and forum and a couple of minutes from roma termini. it is also fairly convenient for the trevi fountain and pantheon.
Cons: I booked a single with bathroom and was told on arrival that only a single with shared facilities was available. i didn't mind so much but upon entering my room found that it was tiny (basically just a bed, sink and sink crammed into a small space) and one toilet/shower was shared between about 10 rooms.
