The owner alfred sat down with us on arrival, gave us a map of rome and spent 30 mins giving us information. he was so friendly and the information he gave us was very helpful. also, there was a kitchen for use, so the accommodation had great self catering facilities.Barron

Lack of a proper reception desk meant that we had to phone owner to arrange arrival time. we ended up getting there early and had to wait outside until he arrived. then had to go to another apartment for the first night, although it was also excellent too, and in a great location. all this wasn't a problem for us, but i suspect it could be for the type of traveller who needs to be herded around and has no initiative - those from the usa particularly!Cooper

At first i did not expect too much, based on the online description. however upon arrival and after meeting the staff/owner i felt very welcomed and right at home. i would recommmend this place for anyone who is looking for value for money. for the amount we paid i could not expect to get any better. the room was perfect, as i wanted. the bathroom was immaculate and hygenic. the owner was delightful and helpful. the location was very good. very safe and secure. no negatives, all positives. i recommmend! wish i stayed longer.Marta Johnston

We arrived earlier then planned and he was fantastic. he took us to our new location, which was upgraded to a flat in the center of rome. he then stayed to show us where everything was and tell us where to eat, which was awesome. i really suggest staying here, who else could provide an apartment in the center of rome at hotel prices?Anonymous

Sleeping beauty is in a great location. it is a 10-15 min walk to the colosseum, during which you pass many restaurants, a supermarket, and gelato shops. it is also and less than 5 min to the metro line. the rooms are very spacious with beautiful antique furniture, they also provide a tv (albeit small) and a dvd player and a range of dvd to use. they have free wifi and provide a desktop computer open to use for the people staying there. using this computer shouldn't pose a big problem because there are about 6 rooms they rent out.Although the owner said it was on his to-do list, our personal refrigerator was broken, so we had to use the one in the kitchen area. also, the shower was small, leaving room for only one person. i think a large person would have a hard time showering comfortably.King

This was a friendly, clean hotel that is well placed near the historical original city wall and metro station. alfred and the staff were lovely and offered good advice and service with maps and tourist information. we had a great trouble free stay and slept " beautifully" Anonymous

During our stay at sleeping beauty we were very pleased with the location and facilities of the hotel. the hotel is situated very close to most of the main tourist attractions. the ammenities in the room are very useful. i would highly recommend this hotel because of the location and cost.
