From arrival the staff were wonderful. we had a complimentary room upgrade as we were celebrating a birthday!
the rooms were spotlessly clean, very comfortable and all facilities were in good working order. breakfast was plentiful and fresh. (pots of coffee were poor) good sized lounge/foyer and helpful concierge.
If i was to pass any comment of a negative impression it would be the fact that the bar/lounge service was not table service, you had to go to the bar for service even when you are the only people in the lounge! Price

Staff was friendly and helpful.Room was provided prior to being ready and we had to wait. desk did not know the room was not ready. also room was not made up on a daily basis until late in the date. but it was a minor wait and not really a big deal.Kettle

My husband and i stayed at the star hotel metrapole for the first four nights of our honeymoon in rome. the staff were excellent, and their level of english was fantastic. originally only booked for three nights but no trouble adding an extra night. the breakfast buffet was excellent, providing much needed fuel for a days sight seeing! the hotel position is great with all the major attractions easily within walking distance. two very enthusiastic thumbs up!!!Anonymous

Nice rooms if a little on the small size ( we had booked a superior room but it was the smallest hotel room we have ever stayed in!) on a positive note , it was very clean, light and modern. the hotel breakfasts were very good, typical continental but good with a good selection. the location is excellent, convenient for walking to nearly every tourist site but also around the corner from termini for connections and hop on hop off buses.The hotel provides very limited tourist information (a map and hop on hop off bus leaflet). hotel lacked atmosphere in the evenings, don`t expect to go to the bar for a cosy night cap - you will be the only person in it!! there are however lots of nice restaurants and bars near by.Benson

excellent location ,just arround the corner from piaza nationale,termini station ,metro republicca,all within walking distance( trevi,colloseum,spanish steps,via condotti,etc).hotel itself well presented,quite large -clean room ,well appointed.stayed in a front facing room with double bed and sofa for my 7 yrs old;not sure about the courtyard facing rooms.staff efficient ,could be a bit more friendly.breakfast: sufficient choice and good quality food (loved the baked apple and prosciutto ,missed the toast )
overall impressed ,would recomend this hotel ,or go back again myself.
expensive ,but well worth it.Kim

Our stay at metropole was a great choice, i would stay there again! the service was great, breakfast was scrumptious, and the beds were comfortable. these three issues concerned me as a traveller to rome, as i have read negative reviews on them. i would recommened metropole to anyone who visits rome!None whatsoever.
