The Orange Grove at the Spanish Steps Rome Location (Map)
The Orange Grove is located on a qauint side street of via del Babuino, which is the main street which runs through the well renowned Spanish Steps. Piazza di Spagna is a delightful area of Rome; it has beautiful shops and delightful cafes and restaurants and it is the most central area of Rome, very chic and elegant.
This area is wonderful for families as there is lots to do in the area for children. For example take a pleasurable walk down the road to Villa Borgese, a wonderful Park for children with Roman Puppet theatres, quaint cafes and restaurants, bike and Go- Kart hire, take a boat out on the lake or visit the children cinema...all is available in the Villa Borghese park.
Metro stations ‘Spagna’ and ‘Piazza Del Popolo’ are nearby, allowing you to easily reach all parts of Rome. The electric bus which runs to the city centre is located less than 50 meters from the apartment.
How to reach the The Orange Grove at the Spanish Steps?By Shuttle service, from both airports: The Orange Grove reccomends their private pick-up service which runs from both airports, in private cars. They will deliver you to the apartment and a staff member can meet you at the apartment to check you in. Set in a good area of rome, nice and quite and quite the italian feel, we hired a car which turned out to be a bit of a problem as regards to parking so left it in a multi storey car park about 15 mins walk away, the orange grove was nice but could do with some care and attention. the guy who met us was very helpful with local infomation etcHALLOWAY

The terrace was a real bonus; we sat out every evening which would not have been possible in any but the most expensive hotel. in addition, carmen, who came to clean and to attend to the plants, was delightful.We felt that the apartment was quite basic in terms of kitchen equipment. also, the bathroom was very lacking in privacy. we feel that it is not appropriate for more than two people, who know each other very well, to stay here.Anonymous

The hotel staff who met us was fantastic, teaching us how to get around rome and telling us about more attractions and landmarks we could find. that information allowed us to cover many places in a short time and make our travelling much easier.Rob Jones

The owner was very helpful in providing us with a map and pointing out all the main tourist attractions, as we were only there for two days this was a great help.he also organised a lift from the airport which was reliable and on time.apartment was well positioned and very clean. overall - superb!None!Anonymous

I booked this apartment from some friends of mine who live abroad, because i live in via del babuino, around the corner.
of course it was perfect to be so close to eachtother.
in the evening we went out together and also spend some time talking inside the apartment. i will book it again if i have other friends staying over i cant put up at my own house.

The location is great, the apartment was spotless and the outside balcony was fantastic to sit in the evening and share a bottle of wine and to have breakfast.
sofa bed in lounge very comfortable and so was other bed.The biggest gripe i had with this was that i told the owners (or their agents) to expect us between 9.30 and 10pm but we would call them when we arrived at the airport to confirm. we tried calling three times on the way to the apartment in the taxi but the phone was switched off. when we arrived at the apartment we called again only to be told that they were 30 minutes away. there was a nice little bar around the corner but we had an overtired 2 year old and because it took an hour plus to get into the apartment he was hysterical and inconsolable by the time and very difficult to settle. if you didnt have a child then not so bad, pretty annoying but ok as you can sit and have a drink close by.
the bathroom was very very small but fine - maybe a door that closed on the bathroom wouldnt go astray!Anonymous

The apartment was in a central position for exploring rome. we were given lots of good advice about places to visit etc. we loved having somewhere to sit out.There was a double booking on our first evening and we had to stay in another apartment for one night. this was a nice flat, but very noisy in the morning and it didn't have a terrace.O\'SHEA
