The building that houses the guest house, with its high ceilings and large windows that provide a cosy and luminous ambience, dates back to the early 19th century and has been completely restored between the end of 2007 and the beginning of 2008. .... Staff very friendly & helpful.
Breakfast smaller than we "anglos" are used-to. however that's a very small negative, far outweighed by everything else

The staff were helpful with information and explaining hotel appliances available. we had access to a laptop computer in our suite which was convenient and we also had complimentary snacks available and drinks in the fridge.
We thought the room was not cleaned thoroughly as we found hairs on our bedlinen and the floor looked like it needed cleaning. the room was bright red and looked like it should be in the redlight district.

The staff was very friendly, especially tomaso, who informed us so well incl. tips for good, fairly priced restaurants. the room was very nice, quiet and modern. especially the free laptop in the room is a big plus in comparison to other hotels. what we liked in particular was the fact that wrh has only 4 rooms, located in a roman appartment, which gives you the impression that you live in between the local people. also the free cakes, coffee, tea etc. in the room is a pleasant extra.
None.

Loved this hotel. clean, newly appointed, easy location; friendly staff. comfy bed, quiet and good ac.
Lift did not work when we go there (but they came down and carried the bags to 4th floor!). shower is right next to bed (with no curtain) - you need to be ok with that.

Location.
We turned up and there was no-one at the hotel (there is not a 24 hr reception), so we had to go to the b&b on the floor below to ask them to phone someone. there was an apology, but they said they were expecting us at 7pm. we arrived at midday. quite where they got our arrival time from is a mystery to me. the tv did not work. in my opinion, the open plan bathroom would not be suitable for friends or couples that have only recently met each other!!

Thomaso was brilliantly informative and helpful about sightseeing in rome, giving us whistlestop suggestions of what to do and what not to do during our short stay. our room was upgraded for free. the room was brilliant. soundproofed windows meant a good night's sleep. they were very helpful in allowing us to leave our cases at the hotel both on arrival (before we were able to check in) and after we had checked out (with some hours before our transfers to the airport). the hotel was within easy walking distance of the colosseum (around 10 minutes). we were able to walk comfortably to most other sightseeing areas, although it was tiring. being so close to rome's train station, 'termini', had huge advantages due to it being the drop off and pick up for the airport transfer buses, and also being the cross section of the only 2 metro underground lines, making it very easy to get around the city.
The building works were mentioned on easytobook.com, but were stated to be finished by nov 2007. this was untrue, as building works were continuing. fortunately this was not at the appartments itself and we were not affected by noise, but on another floor of the shared building, but it still created the wrong impression on arrival. however, there were no other negatives and the hotel was one of the highlights of our stay in rome, and we would definitely stay there if we travel there again.

Location is pretty good... staff is nice when they're around
1. the whole building is being gutted out. the website says the outside, but its the whole thing... there's construction stuff laying around everywhere... and soooo much dust that i got sick. 2. the breakfast is the same with little variety and nothing hot. 3. they try to charge you for your phone being off the hook- even if its not on/ being used. 4. the bed in the double is just 2 twins pushed together and not comfortable... they upgraded us to the jr suite and a couple days later told us we had to move to the double. 5. the elevator- when working- was an allergen fest... and no it didn't work all the time and yes the rooms are on the 4th floor. all in all, i'm just really bummed that they didn't tell me about all the construction. i would have never booked with them had i been informed... if you have dust allergies do not stay there! oh yeah... the tv didn't work... a few italian channels came in, but that's all
