    This ancient piazza in Rome was originally built on large meadow, hence the name that means "field of flowers". Currently home to some historic sights as well as shopping and dining, the Campo de Fiori are ideal for those that love to explore. The center of the piazza features a statue and monument of Giordano Bruno, an Italian philosopher that lived between 1548 and 1600.

    Within the Campo de Fiori there are several ancient buildings and churches. There is also a large fountain, known as the "Soupbowl" or La Terrina, which is a popular central gathering area. During the day there are often open markets in the main area of the square, as well as shops, cafes, bars and fine dining restaurants that surround the area. Just off the piazza is the larger Piazza Navona, which was originally a games area in ancient Rome.
