Home to nearly 5,000 Tuscans, Sarteano is a small town found along the scenic Autostrada del Sole and tucked into a the rugged landscape of Italy's interior. There is a great deal of history to be found here, much of it locally collected at the Museo Civico Archeologico is full of the artifacts that attest to the region's long history of human habitation, thought to date back to Etruscan times. There are also several hotels in Sarteano that are historic in nature.
