Pros: Piccolo il palio was located pretty centrally, so it was very easy to get around! piaza del campo is only about 10 minutes walk. but basically, just stay there if and only if you plan just sleeping and getting yourself cleaned, the hotel is quite boring.
Cons: The washroom sucked! not because it is dirty, but because it isn't a proper shower space so the washroom floods each time we took a shower! and in general, the hotel was blah (boring) - no rooftops, patios balcony.

"The hotel is well situated to walk into town and there are some nice places..."
Pros: The hotel is well situated to walk into town and there are some nice places to eat nearby. we had a corner room at the front and so it was a bit noisy with buses and mopeds at night. no air conditioning but a fan and shutters kept the room at a reasonable temperature. very clean. breakfast was good with reasonable choice. staff were friendly and tolerated our lack of italian.
Cons: A little noisy at night due to the position of our particular room but quite manageable

Cons: The price of the room was too high for a two star hotel and brekfast was quite poor.
