 "Beautiful hotel"
The hotel is 5 minutes walk from the station and the main bus stop, and easy to locate. A bit far from Ortygia, which I guess is the main attraction in Syracuse, however, if you don't mind walking (or cab!), it took us around 25 minutes to Duomo (Cathedral), so it wasn't that bad. The great thing about the hotel is breakfast! My husband and I enjoyed it every morning! Our room was a bit small, however, in a modern decoration whilest preserving some old style of the original building, which we both liked.

Pros: From the outset the staff were very helpful, not only with hotel issues but in offering assistance with information on local events, sights and travel information.

the hotel was very clean, well furnished and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. some reveiews put the location as a negative but, although it is a 10 minute walk to the main tourist area of ortigia it is well placed for some of the mainland sights such as the catacombs and the archeological area. it also allows an easy walk around the main living part of the town for those wanting a bit more than simply the main tourist areas so we found the location good overall.
