Castellaneta is located on Italy’s Southeastern coast. It is a town rich with history, dating back to 550. A visit to the historic section of town will give you a wonderful glimpse far back into the past. There are several churches to visit in the town, too. San Domenico offers canvasses from the 17th century and The Cathedral of St. Nicholas has a lovely baroque façade and three canvasses by Carlo Porta. There is a lot more art to enjoy at the nearby Bishop’s Palace.
