 "Friendly easygoing hotel in the centre of Trapani"
The Albergo Maccotta exceeded my expectations in many ways. Very patient , flexible and helpful reception, great service - and fruit, I loved that - available for breakfast restaurant. The price was good and the rooms and surroundings clean. The location was perfect in the old city and close to the harbour with ships for the islands and busses to Palermo, Erice, San Vito lo Capo and the aeroport . Most of the staff spoke a little English; but as was the case in the town of Trapani in general, too few spoke anything else than Italian. This is the reason for missing stars! So brush up your language skills Trapani, and you will be perfect.

Cons: Shower needed work. the staff does not speak english.

Pros: Good value for money and relatively easy to locate in the maze of streets.access to airport bus and bus to palermo excellent.
Cons: Tv is small and only shows italian stations
