Arco Hotels and Accommodation
Arco is a town in the province of Trento, renowned for its rock climbing; indeed, one side of the town is surrounded by sheer limestone cliffs. The scenery in the area is amazing, with splendid views of the Alps. You can also enjoy windsurfing on Lake Garda, as well as mountain biking on trails in the countryside. Given its popularity as a tourist location, there are a number of restaurants, bars, camping grounds and hotels. Since Lake Garda is found in the proximity of a number of larger, important cities, Arco is also an excellent base for exploring the surrounding area.
Besides rock climbing and water sports, Arco also offers culture and history. There are a number of historic “palazzi”, or buildings, which date to Renaissance times. For example, you can visit the Palazzo Marchetti, complete with a tower and various frescoes. There’s also Palazzo della Lega, which was at one time occupied by a count who was a close personal friend of the composer Mozart.
