Yet another of the villas that serve as interesting Azzate attractions is Villa Ca’ Mera-Orsi. The building is in the shape of a U, with a courtyard to the east and an impressive portico, to be found in the northern wing. This villa probably also belonged to the Bossi family when they ruled Azzate, but it was constructed at the end of the 1600s over a pre-existing structure that had been occupied by others. Indeed, the villa resulted from the renovation of a 15th century residence. Certain elements from that 15th century house are still preserved within the structure of Ca’ Mera.

Access to the villa is achieved through a beautiful Baroque-style portico. The villa houses an Oratorio dell’Immacolata, or an Oratory to the Immaculate Virgin, which, following the renovations of the Baroque period, was elevated to the function of noble chapel. This villa eventually passed to the Cottalorda family, which established itself in Azzate during the 19th century.
