"The wall paper was nice"
Pros: The wall paper was nice...
Cons: Wow... i have never encountered such rude/unhelpful staff before! from the start to finish of our stay we were on our own! from struggling with bags on arrival (no help offered to get to/into the shuttle bus), to a frosty welcome at reception.
when asking for directions into venice only one option was offered; which was paying more money for the overloaded shuttle bus. after asking again for our options, a piece of paper was shoved at us describing a 10min walk to bus stop! which they also didn’t explain that you needed pre-paid tickets for. luckily we met a very helpful local who directed us to a hotel next to the bus stop, who were able to help us even though they were closed!
the only english spoken at villa dori was in the day time by two girls (the daughters) who were too busy on facebook to be interested in anything. dont ask for help... they will direct you to ask the information places in venice! frowns are their permanent facial expressions!
all in all the hotel was ok, the staff is the main reason i don’t recommend staying there! also the location is terrible!
