Next door is Palazzo Contarini Fasan, which tradition holds to have been the home of Desdemona, heroine of Shakespear's Othello. Today, the Hotel Flora offers a special, peaceful atmosphere together with every modern comfort. *3 EUR City tax per person and night, direct payment at the hotel.

From the Venice Marco Polo Airport: Take the Alilaguna shuttle service from the airport to Saint Mark's Square, and continue on foot from there. On land, you can take the shuttlebus service (ACTV or ATVO) to Piazzale Roma, and take vaporetto no. 1 until the San Marco stop, and then continue on foot for a few minutes' walk.
