Pros: Location.
Cons: Its very old and also the furniture.the image of the room was very beautiful but in real its very small.

Pros: This hotel is in the most wonderful location directly opposite the san marco basin and close to water ferry drop off stops. there are many reasonably priced restaurants within a short walk as the hotel dining is classy but more expensive. the hotel is a little away from the grand canal but make up for this by having the lovely promenade out front. only a short walk to st mark's square. the connseige and front desk were pleasant and helpful in assisting me to get around on the ferries etc.
Cons: Perhaps having a room to myself i was placed towards the back in what appeared to be the less original section of the hotel. while the room was fine and the bedding great i could not deal with the bright orange tiles of the ensuite bathroom. definitely a bit of rennovation work required here soon to bring the bathroom out of the 70's.
