The La Meridiana hotel situated in centre of the Venice Lido, 100 m from the beach and only 500 m from the Venice congress palace and the Film Festival Palace, is a recently restored building dating back to the 1930's. This fully air conditioned hotel also has a nice garden with bar service available during the summer months and offers reduced prices to access a private beach which lies only a few steps away.

Pros: Staff were very friendly, had free wi-fi service if you have your own laptop. staff tried to amend any problems we had with the room
Cons: Room airconditioning was too hot, only on the last day it was adjusted to be cooler, having the windows opened at night attracted mosquitos that kept us awake. it is a little too far from the dock of the island
