During her lifetime, Peggy Guggenheim played many different roles. One of her most important ones was as an art collector and promoter. In 1949, the American heiress purchased the Palazzo Venier dei Leone. This Palace was known as the Unfinished. It had been intended to cover 4 storys but never did. Yet, its 2 beautiful gardens and existing stories proved the perfect backdrop for Guggenheims’ collection.
