Pros: We booked 2 junior suites with canal view for us and our friends. they were stunning. i have stayed in venice many times but this location ticked every box.

"Good location"
Pros: Good location.
Cons: We got a room in the "annex" -- which is right on the canal. as a consequence, there was an unusually high amount of noise -- especially at night. the walls of the rooms are paper-thin, to boot. another disappointment -- the coffee served at breakfast tasted as if it was instant! how is that defensible if you are an italian hotel?!?

Cons: They moved us into a different hotel, not the one advertised. they marched us in the rain to some random alley, not what we paid for.
Hotel Palazzo Guardi, situated in the Accademia area of Venice, in Rio San Trovaso, 10 minutes on foot from Piazza San Marco and the Rialto bridge, is a lovely 15th century property, combining its original charming atmosphere with modern comfort. The hotel is spread onto 2 adjacent structures; one features a magnificent original lounge with a breathtaking view over the canal, while the other offers a beautiful breakfast hall decorated with authentic 15th century wooden beams. Official Classification of the Provincia di Venezia (administrative authority): Town House Suites 1st Category. Due to the tipology and the level of services offered, Venere.com compares the property to a 3 star Hotel.
