The room was very clean and of a good size. it was tastefully decorated. the air-conditioned lounges were very welcome and relieving in the heat of the venetian summer.
the staff - all of them - could not be faulted in any way. the reception staff were extremely helpful with all our questions. we had originally booked for 2 nights, but had decided to stay another night. this was arranged without any fuss. particular mention must be made of the exceptional service rendered when we had to depart very early in the morning to catch our flight. having informed them of this the night before, we would have been happy with a cup of coffee and some toast, perhaps, so imagine our surprise when a full breakfast was prepared for us, complete with freshly baked warm rolls and croissants. the gentleman on duty that morning must be commended.
the location was excellent - the hotel -room and surrounding area - was quiet and very close to the vaporetto stop, as well as to several excellent restaurants.
all in all, great value for money.

Ivan, hotel receptionist paticuarly helpful with advice on transport and willing to book a public restautrant for us. all other staff pleasant and cheerful.

when pre-ordering birthday cake, it was accompanied by two free complimentary glasses of preseco
great paintings in the plastering on the celing of our room which was high and elegant.Shower was low, couldn't stand up in in basin for low ceiling. all part of the venice infrastructure and experience! bathroom however was new and plumbing good.
