Hotel Rigel enjoys a quiet position on the Lido, Venice's resort island, in close proximity to the beach and within five minutes of waterboat services which provide quick connections to St. Mark's Square and the rest of Venice every 10 minutes, 24 hours a day. Within the vicinity are numerous restaurants, shops and recreational facilities and activities. Built in the 60's and recently refurbished, the property is surrounded by a delightful floral garden and offers a pleasant and welcoming environment, sure to make any guest feel right at home. On-site amenities include a bar, catering services on request (for groups only) and full concierge services.

Cancellation Policy:
Free Cancellation: You can change or cancel this deal free of charge: up to 48 hours before your Check-in date. Please take into account that the Check-in date starts at 0.00 (local time).

For late cancellation and no-show, the first night penalty will be charged on your C/C. For NOT REFUNDABLE rooms the entire amount of the stay will be charged at the reservation time and won't be refunded in case of cancellation or no-show. IMPORTANT: From August 31 to September 10 2011 you can cancel the reservation without incurring a penalty up to 21 days before prior to check-in. Pros: Staff very helpful. the hotel was 5 minutes from the ferry and quite close to a square where you could get a meal or sit in a bar. the rooms were clean and the hotel was quiet.

Pros: Rigel is located within 5 minutes of the lido water taxi stop which is perfect. it also is in range of the lido main street where you can go to all sorts of pizzerias and gelato shops.
Cons: This isn't exactly negative, but if you're unfamiliar with european traveling---you must know that a 5 star european hotel doesn't equal a 5 star american hotel. by european standards, rigel is great. however, an american might not like it because the bed mattresses and pillows are firm and the room looks like it hasn't been upgraded since the 70s. for the price we got it (50 euros to 75 euros a night), it was a great deal.
