 "San Moise"
Quirky little hotel in a prime location very handy for water bus station and St Marks square. Clean and well stocked with towels in bathroom. Breakfast is fairly basic continental but enough to set you up for the day. One of the main gondola routs passes hotel so was nice to be serenaded in the evenings by the peopl who had hired musicians for their boat. We were told reception was manned 24 hrs but when we came to book out at 5.45am we came downstairs to complete darkness then was met by a very grumpy receptionist who had just got out of bed tried to claim we had had a coke from the mini bar which we hadn't so just tore the bill up and threw us out (well they not having to feed us for the 3rd breakfast we had paid for).Tip - get the number 1 bus to the hotel like it recommends we got the number 2 to St Marks square as it was waiting at the stop but when you have a suitcase to try and fight over the bridges against the flow of tourists it's not ideal.Would recommend this hotel to friends
