This large palazzo, Fondazione Querini Stampalia Museum, has a style arose from the work of an old Venetian: Querini Fasar. It housed a treasury of furnishings, sculpture and paintings. In 1868, the last remaining family member gave the Palazzo and its collection to a foundation. The Fondazione Querini Stampalia now bears his name.
The Fondazione Querini Stampalia Museum contains works by several Venetian masters. It covers the period from the 14th to the 16th century. Giovanni Bellini, Giambattista Tiepolo and Palm il Giovane all have works within this museum. You can also admire the various porcelain and sculptures on display. The furnishings comprise an integral part of the exhibits. In addition, there is the library with over 20,000 books. It is open to the public as well.
