The Santa Lucia Station is the railway gateway to Venice. It sits at the west end of the Grand Canal welcoming visitors to the city. Here, you can see trains from Paris, Munich, Innsbruck, Vienna, Geneva, Zurich and other European cities.
The modern station is well-equipped to handle the needs of every traveler. Inside the station, there are automatic ticket machines providing you instructions in 6 different languages. You can visit the tourist office, the bank or the currency exchange. Relax in the cafeteria or bar. You can also purchase a magazine or international paper from the small shop. Nearby, are the vaporetti or landing stages. You can catch a water taxi, vaporetto (public boat) or gondola to San Marco and elsewhere. There is also a bus and coach terminal close to the Station.
