With fewer than 500 residents, the village of Alagna Valsesia, found in the northern Italian region of Piedmonte. This small mountain town is best known for its proximity to off-run skiing and winter pass times in a rural setting. Of the hotels in Alagna Valsesia and surrounding towns, several offer packages in conjunction with the local ski lifts. There are also many opportunities for ice climbing, cross country ski trails and winter hiking. Many such activities are coordinated by the better Alagna Valsesia hotels.
