Verona is a large and spectacular city in northern Italy. It is home to many great tourist attractions. Veronas Roman Amphitheater was built circa 30 AD, and is the third largest in Italy. While the exterior has undergone change due to the environment and age, the interior remains relatively intact. The Ponte di Pietra, or Stone Wall Bridge, is another famous site. It is a large Roman arch bridge that was completed around 100 BC. Although parts were destroyed during World War II, it was rebuilt using the original materials. The San Zeno Basilica is a beautiful Veronese church. Made with white stone and bricks, this basilica is an enchanting sight.
