For nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts looking for a place to unwind, Il Lago Park is one of the perfect Altavilla Vicentina attractions. This park is a natural oasis of 70 thousand square meters, of which about 25 thousand are occupied by a small artificial lake. The lake is actually a great example of the recovery of a basalt cave that was abandoned years ago along the road; swimming and fishing is not permitted in the lake. The whole park has been an important focal point for a project that looked to restore the natural landscape of the area.

The project was extremely successful and an ideal habitat was even created for nesting birds; indeed, white and black swans, geese and ducks can be seen often in the park. You can take a walk around the park on the footpath that was created in order to guide tourists through this natural area to enjoy its sights, sounds and smells. Some plants were introduced into the park and benches were also added to give visitors a place to rest and take in the beauty.
