Kaunas, Lithuania’s second largest city, is a rapidly developing industrial center. Kaunas boasts a large student population, and is thus an educational center of Latvia, boasting many museums and examples of fine architecture. One such example is the Tadas Ivanauskas Zoological Museum, which showcases a large collection of stuffed animals. The Vytaurtas the Great War Museum displays the martial history of the area, housing a sizeable number of weapons from every period. A little off the beaten path is the Devil’s Museum, a unique collection of works of art, from carvings to sculptures, of devils from across the world.
