If you want to get the best panoramic sights of Kaunas, then you must head on to the Žaliakalnis Funicular Railway and get a ride on one of its funiculars. Officially started in August of the year 1931, this funicular railway features wood-paneled coaches and funiculars that were made by AEG, a well-known German company. Run by electricity, the funiculars are manned by an English-speaking operators who will give you a running commentary of the sights that you can see, while he or she will take you up to 75 meters high.
