Belonging to the Sapieha family, who is one of the most-well known in the city, the palace was constructed in the 17th century in the Baroque style of architecture. Although adorned with lavish decors in the past, the palace was converted into a military hospital by the Russian government during the 19th century, which resulted in the destruction of its opulent interiors.
