After doing your rounds of the attractions in Vilnius like the Museum of Genocide Victims, the Radvila Palace, the Gediminas Castle and the National Museum of Lithuania, you can head on to one of city's parks to unwind, one of which is the Verkiai Regional Park located close to many hotels in Vilnius. Here, you can get your fill not only of God-made wonders but also of a number of cultural and historical sites. For more information, check with your Vilnius hotel.
Aside from the hills, forests and lakes harbored within the park that include the valley of the Green Lakes, you can also get to enjoy discovering the Kalvarijos memorial here as well as the remains of the settlements during the New Stone Age and the mezolite. Although the park is labeled as a nature reserve that is under the protection of the government, it is still opened to the public as a venue where one can relax and indulge in recreational activities. If you are staying in one of the Vilnius hotels, then you can definitely come to park if you want to do some biking or hiking. You can even take a boat ride in one of the park's lakes.
