Named after Prince Regent, the Regent Street is one of the major shopping streets and thoroughfare in London's West End. The whole street is owned by the Crown estate and is one of the grandest looking streets in London. The shops located here are more upmarket and expensive than those on the Oxford Street. This area houses the Liberty department store, the oldest department store in the world. Being in the centre of the town puts this location at a benefit for transportation options. Although you can get a bus from almost anywhere in London that will pass through or terminate in this area, specific Tube stops around this area include Marble Arch, Bond Street, Oxford Circus, Tottenham Court Road and Piccadilly Circus.
