The Portobello Hotel is known as one of the most original hotels within London. With so many hotels around they can often be fairly boring, but the Portobello is certainly different. The idea is to make you feel at home and the decorating is extremely modern and a little eccentric too. People seem to love its wacky style and it does seem to have a very British feel to it. The hotel is that wacky that various celebrities have paid a visit including Tina Turner, Alice Cooper and various other rock stars. The rooms are unique and one room in particular features a four poster bed which is actually so large that you have to use a ladder to climb up into it. One of the most refreshing things about the Portobello is that it caters for everyone’s budget. If you cannot afford the expensive over the top rooms then there are smaller cabin rooms to suit you. However they are not ordinary rooms, they too are actually fairly inventive so you will still not be missing out. The thing that many people find attractive about this hotel is that they are left alone by the staff. They are helpful when they need to be but they do not overwhelm you with their presence unlike some other larger hotels. Overall this hotel is definitely for you if you like something a little unusual. There are 24 rooms altogether and if you do book a single cabin room be advised that they are really small.
