Esch-sur-Sure is a very small town in the Diekirch Province of Western Luxembourg. The town (which is the second smallest in Luxembourg) is right on the Süre River and located just east of Upper Sure Lake, a popular place for watersports. The hotels in Esch-sur-Süre, Luxembourg are very charming and old style. There aren’t a lot of budget Esch-sur-Sure hotels, so be sure to book early.

The most notable tourist feature in Esch-sur-Sure is the castle, which is definitely worth a visit. Admission is free. You’ll also want to visit the Maison du Parc, where you’ll find a park with regular exhibits going on. Near there is also a very interesting cloth museum, with cloth making demonstrations going on regularly. You’ll be able to buy handcrafted cloth while you’re here. In the evening, be sure to visit one of the local restaurants for an authentic meal of regional cuisine.
